Every year for Christmas, my daughters make a Christmas craft for their teachers. The kids are so proud to give a gift that they handmade and the teachers are always very touched.
These Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments are fun for the kids to make and to give.
Supplies needed:
- 2 sizes of Popsicle sticks
- craft glue
- paint
- sparkles, confetti, or stickers
- pipe cleaners or ribbon
Carefully cut the smaller Popsicle sticks with sharp scissors into various sizes as in the photo below. Glue the pieces onto a bigger stick making a tree formation.
Allow the glue to dry and then have your children paint the trees. Be sure to lay down newspaper to prevent any spills or smears.
Allow the paint to dry. (The purple tree is my three year old's creation.)
Decorate trees with stickers or confetti pieces. Once the glue is dry, wrap a ribbon or pipe cleaner around the top branch to create a hanger.
