Asian Chicken Wings

The ingredients for Asian Chicken Wings are simple. You probably have most of them on hand, except for maybe the wings. The bag in the picture is a 4 pound bag. You could use a bigger bag with this recipe. I do suggest that you use quality chicken wings. I bought the store brand because they were on sale and I was not pleased with them. I have used Perdue in the past and I will go back to that brand. Personally, I think they taste better.

Years ago, my mom gave me this handy Tupperware container that is specifically for marinading. It fits tightly and lets you shake the container without the marinade spilling out. It is not a necessity though. You could easily use any lidded container. Just be careful that the marinade doesn't spill out.

See...shaky, shaky

and no spilling...

After 8 hours or overnight in the marinade...

Ready to go in the oven...

Ready to devour...

Asian Chicken Wings
Marinade

  • 2/3 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 1/3 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger

Marinate the wings 8 hours to overnight.

Bake 375 degrees for about 45-50 minutes.

Enjoy!

  5. Ok I wrote this recipe down yesterday and made it for dinner tonight and then for the life of me couldn't remember where I got it!

I finally found you to tell these were great - I baked mine a little longer because I like crisper wings and was very surprised that they were not the slightest bit salty, although I did use low sodium soy sauce.

I think next time I may add some sesame oil and chopped garlic.

    Thanks again!
