Resolve to Organize Your Home Office

Have you been busy this week?

Yesterday, we cleaned off our desks. I don't know about you, but I feel so much better now that my desk is clear.


We also resolved to regularly discuss our finances with our spouse. I'm reconciling our accounts and updating our Family Balance Sheet to prepare for the meeting with my husband. Today's resolution: Organize Your Home Office.

Now that the desk top is clear, the files, piles, bills, statements, and receipts also need to be sorted and organized. Some things to read and implement:


We have not yet taken the leap to go paperless in our home office, but our accountant is giving us some ideas and assuring me that it is possible. As I go through the process, I will report our progress back to you.

  1. It looks great! One of the things I do at the beginning of January is clear out last year's files. I put it in a storage box and keep it handy to do my taxes.
